As you’re looking at tools this week, remember that you’re looking from two perspectives — as teacher and learner. This class is about creating and maintaining your own toolbox — a Personal Learning Environment — so that you can manage your own learning. Eventually you’ll want to look at it from “the other side of the desk” and use something like this in your own practice. See Personal Learning Environments for some insights from last year. Google that phrase and see how things have changed!

Until I read your post, then view the Top 100 on the OLDaily, I never realized how many of the top 100 tools I am already using. I wrote about the Picasa photo editor in my blog [www.jsarnett.wordpress.com] becuase I am very familiar with it. Being an avid amateur photographer, I have been using Picasa for a couple years now and like some of its features better than my $400 photoshop software. All in all, I found the list to be confirming, since I use many of the tool already, plus a source of ideas for some I’ve never tried…and a few I’ve never even heard of!
